Welcome to the University of Washington Cardiovascular Fellowship Training Program. Our program is designed to prepare trainees for an academic career of excellence in scholarship, research investigation, and clinical Cardiology.
Fellowship training is based at the University of Washington Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, and the VA Puget Sound where trainees are exposed to the latest advances in concepts and methods in the practice of Cardiology. Additionally, we offer advanced subspecialty fellowship training in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, advanced heart failure/transplantation, and adult congenital heart disease in a joint training program with Seattle Children’s Hospital. Advanced research opportunities in basic science, health service, and clinical research are available within the broad spectrum of cardiovascular disease, including coronary disease, electrophysiology, heart failure/transplantation, congenital heart disease, structural heart disease, cardiac imaging, and cardiovascular clinical trials.
As you consider our program, I invite you to review the information available throughout this website. We welcome and encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds, as this broadens and enriches the educational experience of all our faculty and trainees. Given the resources available from our distinguished faculty and programs as well as world-class medical centers and medical school, we believe we provide a unique learning environment which facilitates research and clinical training in cardiovascular disease.
